What does bloop mean?

Weakly hit fly ball

A baseball term that describes a weakly hit fly ball that lands in the outfield between the infielder and outfielder; opposite of a line drive where the ball is hit hard; frustrates pitchers because the hitter didn't hit their pitch well but still got a hit; often appears as "bloop single."
