|Meaning||Daily Fantasy Sports|
DFS means Daily Fantasy Sports, which refers to the contest where participants draft a team each day to compete against other teams to see who can accumulate the best stats. It involves a fee to play and the ability to win cash prizes.
DFS is most popular for football, baseball, basketball, and hockey in the United States. It skyrocketed in popularity in the fall of 2015 with the beginning of the NFL season. Two of the most popular DFS websites were DraftKings and FanDuel but these two companies merged in November 2016 to combine resources.
"I have to back off DFS for a while bc I'm getting addicted to it."
