A panic drink is a person's default drink he orders at a bar or restaurant when he doesn't know what else to drink. It is commonly ordered when the person feels rushed and is not ready to order and does not know the menu.

A panic drink allows a person to look cool and smooth even when he has no clue about his surroundings. The drink is usually something that most places serve, such as a generic type of beer, wine, or other alcoholic concoction.
