What does plastered mean?

Drunk

A slang term for a person who is heavily under the influence of a substance. It is commonly associated with getting drunk on alcohol.

It may occur for a variety of reasons such as when a relationship falls apart and the dumped person wants to ease the pain. It also may happen out of a celebratory reasons, like when your team wins the big game or at a St. Patrick's Day or Christmas party at the office.
