Shotgun Start

What does shotgun start mean?

Golfers are sent to each hole to start at the same time

A shotgun start is a golf tournament format where participating players start at every hole simultaneously. It allows golfers to save time instead of waiting to start at the same hole.

The first group starts at the first hole, the second group starts at the second hole, and so on. Each group then plays the next hole until they play all 18 holes. The tournament ends when the last group of players finishes all 18 holes.

Example

Shotgun start is set for 8am. You begin at the 5th hole
