SIT

What does SIT stand for in messages?

Stay in touch

SIT is a way to tell someone you want to stay in communication with someone. People typically use it when they are about to depart from others and make it known that they don't want to grow distant.

For example, if you are about to part ways with a good friend you haven't seen in several years, you might message them, "SIT. I've missed you, bud!" Or, you may end an email to your brother, "It was great to see you. SIT."

SIT is similar to the KIT acronym but not as common. Also, people should capitalize SIT to avoid confusion with the verb "sit."

Example

It was good catching up with you tonight. I have to go now, but hopefully we can SIT
Fo sho!
