A snapstreak is a conversation between two snapchatters where each person must send a snap (chat does not count) back and forth to each other within 24 hours. If one person does not respond within 24 hours the snapstreak is broken.
A snapstreak is represented by a fire emoji that appears next to your friend's name after three consecutive days of snaps. The number next to the fire emoji indicates how long the streak has been going. If an hourglass emoji appears next to your friend's name, that indicates the snapstreak is about to end soon.
