Waggro

What is waggro short for?

Wife aggro

Gamers use waggro to note that their wife is getting mad at them - likely because they've been gaming too long and ignoring some IRL responsibilities. This "clever" abbreviation strips the "w" from wife and combines it with aggro, which is short for aggressive.

On rare occasions, you might see waggro used outside the context of gaming. For example, a friend who forgot their wedding anniversary might say their wife is (rightfully) "going waggro" on them. However, those who use waggro typically have some connection to gaming or geek culture - as that culture is where waggro originated.
