Christmas Bogus

What does christmas bogus mean?

Receiving nothing from your employer during Christmas

Christmas bogus is a term that refers to when you don't receive anything for Christmas from your boss. It is variation of "Christmas bonus" but replaces "bonus" with "bogus."

Most employees expect some sort of bonus during the Christmas season because it's a time of giving and the end of the calendar year. When the bonus is a lot smaller than expected, due to a rough year for the company or stinginess of the people in charge, the bonus becomes pretty bogus.
