A clapback is a clever comeback used by a person who just received an insult. It is such a good comeback that it leaves the receiver speechless and becomes a mic drop moment.

Clapback is similar to a dis, a burn, or throwing shade. It became popular in 2017 as a way to refer to snappy comebacks on social media, such as Facebook and Twitter. It may also appear as clap back.
