GTR

What does GTR stand for in text and chat messages?

Got to run

Someone who sends you GTR has "got to run." You're most likely to receive this acronym as an abrupt ending to a chat or text conversation, when the person you're talking to has something else they need to do.

Typically, if someone has GTR in the middle of a conversation, they'll follow up with you later to finish the convo. If they don't, they might be ghosting you.
