IDI

What does IDI stand for in text and chat messages?

I doubt it

Someone who is fairly certain an event won't happen might use IDI (I doubt it) to say so. You're most likely to encounter this acronym in text or chat messages, sent by disbelieving friends, family members, or co-workers.

For example, if you ask an American football fan whether the Chicago Bears will win the Super Bowl this year, they might respond with "IDI, they're not good." Or, if you ask a realtor whether home prices will fall this year, they may respond with "IDI, home prices rarely go down."

Example

I might be able to go, but IDI with all the work I have to get done
Dang, I was hoping you could make it
