MM

1. What does MM stand for?

Make me

During chat and text conversations, MM sometimes stands for "make me." If someone asks you to do something that you really don't want to do, you can respond with MM to tell that person off.

If the person is asking you to do something they'd be better off doing themselves, you can tell them to DIY. And if they continue to harass you (and you're feeling a little crass), you can consider telling them to BTFO.

Example

"Oh yeah? Why don't you MM!"

3. What does MM stand for?

Merry meet

MM stands for "merry meet," which is a way of saying, "welcome" to a group of people. It may also be used when parting with a group of people at the end of a conversation. You will most likely see it in online chatrooms or in text messages.

The "merry meet" saying comes from pagan culture as it is prominently used by Wiccan witches. It is often heard as "Merry Meet, Merry Part, and Merry Meet Again" when members close a circle.

Even though it is primarily used by pagans, it may also be utilized by non-pagans that just like the sound of it. So be careful not to make any quick judgments.

Missing my

If you are missing something near and dear to your heart, you may use "MM," which is short for "missing my." It is usually followed by a name, e.g. "MM sweetheart."

MM is especially useful when communicating your longing for something or someone online. You will most likely see it accompanying an image on a social site where people share memories.

People may also use it for less substantial things, like an old gaming console or car. For example, during a blizzard, they may post "With all this fresh powder, I'm MM Jeep rn."
