Mocking is a term that refers to hanging out in a hammock. It includes tying the two ends of a hammock to supports, most commonly, trees.
The term gained popularity in the summer of 2015 when a growing population of teenagers began setting up their hammocks in different places, laying in them, and hanging out. The fad usually occurs where there is a good amount of trees available in which to tie a hammock. The main purpose of the hobby is to relax and enjoy community with other mockers.
