Rec is an abbreviation for receptions commonly used in football, more specifically fantasy football (FFB). The abbreviation is used as a statistic to record the number of catches that a player has from a QB.
The RB, TE, and FB positions are all eligible to catch a pass from the QB but the abbreviation is most often seen with the WR position. In FFB, some leagues, like PPR leagues, award points for catches made by WRs and RBs.
"Wowzers, he had 16 rec in one game.
That's cray, he scored more points on rec than my both my WRs."
