Show Hole

What does show hole mean?

Sadness after finishing a great show

Show hole is the sadness experienced after finishing an excellent TV show season or series, and there are no more readily available episodes, leaving you to feel empty. The feeling commonly arises after binge-watching a show on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc., and you're in withdrawal.

Hours, days, and sometimes weeks into a show hole is like losing a really good friend you enjoyed spending time with. The emptiness can sometimes be too much to handle, so it's crucial you get hooked on another show quickly, or maybe, go outside or read a book.
