SWOT is an acronym for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, which is a method used to plan events, businesses, and projects. It is used by companies, organizations, and people (for their own personal decisions).

The "S" part of SWOT represents the strengths, or positive, characteristics of a project. The "W" represents the weaknesses of the project. The "O" represents the opportunities of a project that could be exploited. The "T" represents threats that could bring trouble to the project.

Swots may be criticized for having little or no social life because of their dedication to schoolwork. Swot can also be used as "swotting," which is a verb that means to study really hard.
