Board and card gamers use TTS to refer to Tabletop Simulator. This popular video game allows gamers to play a variety of board and card games online, as well as create and test their own board and card games. Up to ten players can sit at each virtual table, making TTS handy for those who want to host a group game night without leaving their house.

Initially released in June 2014, TTS is now a gaming staple. In addition to royalty-free and custom games, gamers can purchase and play officially-licensed TTS versions of popular games, such as Cosmic Encounter, Wingspan, and One Night Ultimate Werewolf.

TikTokers use TTS to talk about the app's Text-to-Speech feature. This feature converts text placed over a video into speech, so those who can't (or don't want to) read the text can hear it spoken aloud instead.

You can enable TTS when adding text to a video you've just recorded. To do so, press and hold the text, then select Text-to-Speech. When another user watches your video, they'll hear the text spoken aloud (in an upbeat female voice).
