Vine

What does vine mean?

6 second video

A term for a 6 second video created and published through the "Vine" application and video sharing service.

A vine can be published through the Vine service and then shared on sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The video only lasts 6 seconds, which forces the user to only post videos that can make sense in that time frame, which is why vines are usually meant to be funny. The plural version of the term appears as "vines."

Example

"Where did Josh go?
He went to the park with Lisa to make some vines of him jumping off the slide."
