FTK

What does FTK stand for in online gaming?

For the kill

Gamers use FTK to mean "for the kill." When you see this acronym in in-game chat, it means a player is moving in to kill one or more enemies.

For example, in a MOBA, a player might send "going FTK, could use backup" when they're about to charge an opposing champion. Or, in an FPS, a player might say "let's go FTK on that sniper" when they want you to help them frag an opposing sniper.

Example

"Moving in FTK, just hold 'em off for two seconds"

A woman asking whether she should go FTK
