A term that refers to a prank where "swatters" report a false emergency to get a SWAT team to respond.

The act of swatting began to grow in popularity when numerous celebrities, such as Tom Cruise, Paris Hilton, and Justin Timberlake, were swatted. Some gamers have begun to swat other gamers by retrieving their home address and calling in fake emergencies in order to get points. For example, the more police that show up or the more damage is done, the more points.
