Tradwife

What is a tradwife?

A wife who adheres to traditional values

A tradwife is a woman who subscribes to "traditional" values, such as staying home to raise kids, cook meals, clean the house, and look after her husband. People commonly use the term online, especially on Twitter and Reddit.

Tradwives are usually expected to be submissive to their husbands, but this is not always the case. Also, the idea of tradwives may stem from conservative religious convictions, such as Christianity or Islam.

Because it is a controversial idea, you will typically see tradwife accompanied by lively discussion, especially online. For example, a feminist may take issue with a conservative post about expectations of a tradwife, and verbal carnage ensues.

Don't get me wrong, I'm def a feminist, but I also see the appeal of being a tradwife
Me too. It's nice to be taken care of but I also want the freedom to pursue my career, as well
