Meaning Acting like a breaching whale

A term that refers to a person mimicking the movements of a whale breaching out of the water.

The whaling fad was made popular on Vine, which is a social media site where users can upload "snippets" of video that can last no more than six seconds. The "whaling" action involves one or more persons out of sight from the camera and popping up like a whale out of the water. The more bizarre or public the location, the better.

"Is that guy lebroning?"
"No, he's whaling, free willy!"
